Crystal Palace Ends Arsenal Win Streak, Palace 2-2 Arsenal

Arsenal drew 2-2 against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park today, ending their exciting win streak. Arsenal have failed to play well in the first half again, with the first half ending 1-0 to Crystal Palace. In the last minute of the first half, Shkrodan Mustafi made tackle in the box on Kouyate after a mess from a corner. Luka Milivojevic scores the penalty after having one saved last week against Everton.

Unai Emery made a substitution instantly into the second half with Hector Bellerin coming off for right back Stephan Lichtsteiner.  Palace began with a defensive mindset but conceded a free kick outside the right side of the box. Granit Xhaka takes the free kick and scores after a rocket shot, Palace 1-1 Arsenal. Just 4 minutes later Pierre – Emerick Aubameyang gives Arsenal the lead after a controversial corner. The ball looks like it took a deflection off Lacazettes hand and it went straight to Aubameyang, who scores with the ball being only in the net by 9 millimeters.

Roy Hodgson made a instant substitution after that, with Max Meyer coming in for James McArthur. Meyer made a great impact with Palace beginning to create great chances, with Meyer having a shot hit the post.

Emery subs off Ozil for Welbeck in the 68th minute and Ozil walks past looking furious. Danny Welbeck has been playing great recently, having 5 goals this season in all competitions.

In the 82nd minute Palace are awarded another penalty, after Wilfred Zaha was taken down by Granit Xhaka with Zaha’s trickery pressuring Xhaka to accidentally tripping him. Luka Milivojevic scores his second penalty, making sure Crystal Palace are awarded the point that they deserved.

Although Arsenal may have not extended their win streak, they’re still undefeated in their last 12 games in all competitions. Next week Arsenal face their biggest challenge with Arsenal playing vs Liverpool at home. This match will show how much this Arsenal side has improved, with Liverpool being one of the favorites to win the title.
