CITY DESTROY CHELSEA 6-0 AT THE ETIHAD!

Match Commentary:

GOAL! Manchester City take an early lead with Raheem Sterling scoring in the fourth minute for a perfect start for the Citizens. Bernardo Silva is left alone in the wing and he crosses the ball into the Chelsea box. It’s deflected but it goes straight to the path of Sterling who smashes it in the net!

City keep their attacking threat going and nearly scored a second in the 8th minute. Bernardo Silva easily dribbles past the Chelsea defense and passes it to Aguero who misses in a empty net! Not what you expect from one the best strikers in the league.

WHAT A GOAL BY AGUERO!! Not long after that dreadful miss, Aguero scores a beautiful strike from 25 yards out! Even though he was pressured with Rudiger and Luiz in front of him, and Kante behind him , he took the shoot and there was no was Chelsea keeper Kepa was saving that. 2-0 for Chelsea in 13 minutes!

ITS 3-0 IN THE 18TH MINUTE! Aguero scores again! De Bruyne crosses the ball in to Aguero but it’s headed out. Ross Barkley makes a howler mistake heading back to goal and Sergio Aguero just taps it in! He now has 16 goals and is back into the race for the golden boot!

ITS FOUR NIL! FOUR NIL!! City score again and are completely dismantling Chelsea 4-0 at the 25th minute! They’re averaging a goal every 6 and half minutes at the moment and just scoring for fun. The ball goes to a unmarked Aguero and the whole defense then focuses on him. It goes to Gundogan who scores from outside the box, horrible defending by Chelsea!

Higuain nearly gets one back for Chelsea but it saved by Ederson in the 38th minute! Higuain takes a half volley shot and it fantastically saved by the Brazilian keeper.

The first half ends and City have completely outclassed Chelsea, getting a 4-0 lead in the first 25 minutes. The last 10 minutes of the half City have calmed down a bit and Chelsea have started to gain more possession in the final third, but have still struggled to penetrate the City defense.

The second half has begun, lets see if Sarri can make Chelsea lost less depressing.

PENALTY! Sterling dribbles past Azpilicuelta and Sterling is taken down by the Spainard. 5-0 CITY AND AGUERO GETS HIS HAT-TRICK! He scores the penalty, sending Kepa the wrong way and City continue to steamroll past Chelsea. Aguero gets another hat-trick after getting one last week versus Arsenal.

City aren’t finished yet, Sergio Aguero comes off with a deserved round of applause from the home fans. He comes of though for Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, another attacking threat. Not long after Mahrez comes on for Kevin De Bruyne, the fact that City can sub players like Mahrez in is just frightening.

David Silva has just entered the match and I didn’t even notice he wasn’t playing, imagine if he was!

6-0! 6-0!! City are not showing any mercy just yet! Left back Zinchenko recieves a lovely pass from Silva, he then crosses it to Sterling and the Englishman taps it in from 6 yards out!

Insane scenes at the Etihad as City have won 6-0 completely obliterating Chelsea.

Full-Time Review:

Manchester City 6-0 Chelsea! Maurizio Sarri has stormed off the bench, not even shaking Guardiola’s hand at the end of the match in a disappointing match. Chelsea have suffered their worst defeat in Premier League history, and have now dropped to 6th place. Sarri could have his job on the line now with this defeat, being very stubborn with his tactics. Teams have figured out that in order to stop Chelsea from playing, it’s to stop Jorginho which is exactly what City did. Kante out of position, no Callum-Hudosn Odio, and starting Alonso over Emerson are multiple issues I’ve noticed Sarri continues to do. With this defeat, surely Eden Hazard is leaving in the summer.

City are now first in the league on goal difference but have played a game more than Liverpool. The fact that City continue to win games by huge score lines like this is why I believe they’ll overtake Liverpool for the title. What a night for Sergio Aguero, he  is now tied with Alan Shearer for most Premier League hat-tricks and is now city’s all time top goal scorer! He is now joint-top scorer of the league Mohamed Salah at 17 goals. The scariest thing about this result is that Leroy Sane didn’t play, and David Silva, Mahrez, and Jesus all came off the bench, showing how powerful that city team is. This City team has the potential of completing the treble and if they most definitely deserve it if they do with this beautiful brand of football.
